Our search for the next superintendent of the Abington Heights School District is now underway! This is a critically important decision for the Board, and we are committed to conducting a highly professional search that ultimately secures the best candidate for the position.

TEMPLETON Advantage, LLC has been hired to assist us in recruiting, screening, and selecting the next superintendent. Tom Templeton, the Founder and Creative Director of TEMPLETON Advantage, LLC has been involved in hundreds of searches over the last 18 years, and we welcome his guidance and expertise throughout this process.

You will see a short survey on this site that asks just a few questions. We strongly encourage your participation! Our purpose in conducting the survey of the school community is to gain a deeper understanding of the leadership skills, qualifications and professional attributes necessary for the next superintendent to successfully lead the district into the future. The information from this survey will guide the selection of candidates, interview questions, reference checking protocols, and eventually the selection of the next superintendent. Furthermore, the data from the surveys will assist us in setting future goals for the district.

Mr. Templeton will also be holding focus groups with staff members, as well as facilitating a gathering of interested community members. More on that to come in the very near future.You are welcome to visit this sight periodically to receive updates. Thank you for your continued dedication to the students of Abington Heights!

The Abington Heights Board of School Directors is asking community members to complete the Superintendent Search Survey. We value your opinions and welcome your involvement in the process.  Please take a few moments to provide your feedback to the questions below.  The purpose of the survey is to seek a deeper understanding of the community’s expectations and aspirations related to the next superintendent of Abington Heights, and the current challenges, issues and needs facing the district. The responses will be forwarded to Tom Templeton, our search consultant, and the Founder and Creative Director of TEMPLETON Advantage, LLC.  Mr. Templeton will then present the results to the board.  Any questions regarding the survey should be directed to Mr. Templeton at tom@templetonadvantage.com.

ABINGTON HEIGHTS SCHOOL DISTRICT (CLARKS SUMMIT, PA; LACKAWANNA COUNTY) IS UNDERTAKING A SEARCH FOR ITS NEXT SUPERINTENDENT. THIS SUBURBAN DISTRICT SERVES TWO BOROUGHS AND SIX TOWNSHIPS, AND IS SITUATED IN A BEAUTIFUL PART OF NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA (NEPA).  ABINGTON HEIGHTS EDUCATES APPROXIMATELY 3,400 STUDENTS, AND IS RECOGNIZED FOR ITS OUTSTANDING ACADEMIC AND OPERATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT, AS REFLECTED IN ITS RANKING AMONG THE TOP 10% OF DISTRICTS IN THE STATE VIA SPECIFIC INDUSTRY METRICS. THE DISTRICT IS SEEKING A STUDENT-FOCUSED, COMMUNITY-MINDED LEADER WITH:
