Vectors Test 2 –
Review
Bring a straight edge for use during the
test
- Review Set 3
problems. Solve both types of
“river” problems, a “hammock” problem, and a “sign on the wall” problem. You
must construct diagrams of the tension vectors before and after
transposition.
- Solve both types of
"jet" problems. Refer to Example 3-10 in the text.
- Know how to apply the
Law of Sines, and be able to establish
FT, and angles theta, 2-theta, and phi.
- Know how to diagram a
reference scalar triangle and a reference vector triangle for a relative
velocity problem.
- Compare and contrast
the tension in each half of a wire supporting a picture on a wall and the
tension in each half of a hammock.
- Compare and contrast
VB,E, VB,R, VR,E when solving a “river”
problem.
