Chapter 1
"Elements Symbols/Names Worksheet" and "Elements/Compounds/Mixtures" Test Review
(1) Section 1 will have sixteen element names, where you must correctly write each element's symbol.
(2) Section 2 will have nineteen element symbols, where must correctly spell each element's name.
(3) Section 3 tests the contents of page 3 on "Elements/Compounds/Mixtures Review", where you will have at least two blank lines on which you must write the names of elements that fall into a given category. For example:
"Elements that belong to the NOBLE GASES: _______________, _________________."
You will have to write two of the six elements that belong to this family. You will be permitted to use the elements listed in Section 1 and Section II of the test as examples.
(4) Section 4 will contain several completion type problems (i.e., "fill in the blank") taken directly from the first three pages of "Elements/Compounds/Mixtures Review".
(5) Section 5 is Extra Credit. You will have to write from memory two of the five extra elements you chose under SECTION 2 of the "Element Symbols/Names Worksheet". You must write both the correctly spelled name and the correctly written symbol. Also, I will have a list of six Latin names, where you must write the English name and the symbol for each.
